Just a few hours after word of James Cameron’s hatred for Fox News host Glenn Beck spread across the internet, Beck fired back on the opening segment of his show this evening. In his monologue, Beck referred to his Antichrist reference as a joke (here’s the CNN transcript for full context) and added:
The best part is, this guy has carried this joke around with him for three long years. The guy’s making a billion dollars on a smurf-murdering movie and he’s stewing about a joke that nobody heard on a network nobody watched. I mean c’mon, really? It’s time to walk away from the CGI for a minute, Jim. Just for a second.
Beck also expressed mock fear for the the “79% of Americans who aren’t convinced greenhouse gases are the most important factor in the planet’s warming.”
But perhaps the most vicious attack is reserved for Beck’s preamble, in which he identifies James Cameron as “director of Avatar, Titanic and Piranha 2: The Spawning.” Ouch.
