I can't tell you how excited I am that we're inching closer and closer to the end of The Twilight Saga. If you're a regular reader you know why and will either join in my excitement, or whine about our complaining whenever we write about it. However, some recent news has provoked some genuine interest as EW reports that at least three high profile directors including Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette), Gus Van Sant (Elephant, Milk), and Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) have been approached about potentially directing what will be a two part finale for Breaking Dawn, the final installment of The Twilight Saga.
This information was also confirmed by Twilight star Kristen Stewart in a recent interview with MTV where she says 'I'm glad that's out and about. I didn't know that was something that people knew.' Of course, with the rampant speculation about Captain America casting (of which I'm sick and tired of hearing), names will be tossed around until, as EW says, the studio delivers writer Melissa Rosenberg's detailed outline to these directors, which should happen sometime next week. Either way, it looks like there will be a pretty big name announced relatively soon. Any TwiHards out there care to say which director they want for this?
