Prince of Persia Writers to Pen Disney's National Treasure 3

Prince of Persia Writers to Pen Disney's National Treasure 3: "
National Treasure

It's been over two years since we heard anything about Disney's adventure sequel National Treasure 3, but WonderCon brought some news on the series that has been leaps and bounds more entertaining than The Da Vinci Code franchise. While at the convention this past weekend ComingSoon found out that Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro will script the threequel which hasn't had any of plot points revealed, but we can assume will feature treasure and the pursuit of it. This will reunite the writers with Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub again, after they worked on both Prince of Persia and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Sounds like Bruckheimer, Turteltaub and these two writers are in quite a groove together. While Prince of Persia doesn't look all the thrilling to me, I am quite interested in seeing a slightly off-kilter Nicolas Cage paired up with Jay Baruchel in The Sorcerer's Apprentice. So if those films actually deliver some quality entertainment then I'll be even more invested in a National Treasure 3, which will surely deliver more ole fashioned puzzle-ridden adventures. No official word if Nicolas Cage, Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger and Jon Voight will return, but we expect they will. Maybe Ben Gates can run into Robert Langdon and kick his ass?
