Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer May Direct '30 Minutes or Less'

Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer May Direct '30 Minutes or Less': "
Ruben Fleischer

Those of you that saw Zombieland last year know how great of a movie it truly is and what kind of awesome career director Ruben Fleischer (seen above) has ahead of him. Fleischer has been receiving plenty of big offers in Hollywood since the movie opened last year, but hasn't actually accepted any of them. He was even offered Mission: Impossible 4, according to the LA Times' 24 Frames, but declined that, too. So what project is he interested in besides Zombieland 2? Apparently he's into another comedy called 30 Minutes or Less, with Danny McBride currently attached to star, in development at Media Rights Capital for the time being.

30 Minutes or Less is a 2009 Black List script written by Matthew Sullivan and Michael Diliberti about 'a pizza delivery guy on an unlikely caper,' but that's all we know about it. McBride definitely does look like a pizza delivery guy and this does sound like a perfect project for Fleischer, but he's only 'close to a deal' to direct, not signed yet. They also say he's had conversations about directing Babe in the Woods, an action-comedy written by Mike White (School of Rock) about an ordinary Midwestern woman who gets caught up in a Mafia plot, but Fleischer might've already passed on that, too, since reps say he's not involved with it.

So while we don't actually have any confirmed news to report, I am looking forward to seeing this director's career continue with more great comedies, including Zombieland 2 and whatever else he does decide to do, including 30 Minutes or Less and/or Babe in the Woods. In the meantime, if you haven't seen Zombieland yet, you can pick it up on DVD or Blu-Ray right now. What do you want to see Fleischer direct next?
